Skill #3: Technology
Technology is a very import aspect of any job in today's society as tasks are now being completed mainly via computer or technological software. Without being proficient with computers and the appropriate software, completing every day simple tasks would be impossible.
I have had a great deal of training in computer and software applications in school, the current position that I hold, and my internship at Johns Hopkins University. This extensive training has better prepared me to grasp new software quickly. When introduced with a new software program to use, I am able to understand it on my own with minimum formal training. This skill will prove to be very beneficial and time saving in your organization.
The below link Display Grant Master is an example of a program I use in the SAP software. By understanding this application, I am able to bring up a specific budgets and find out the information needed to create a new budget or to find out when a new award needs to be issued. The SAP program is a very extensive system. Once understood, it allows the user to perform every task needed to perform their job. Unfortunately, I am unable to show you the information that it displays since each account is confidential.

A second example (see link below) that demonstrates my technology skills is a non-recurring cost allocation transfer that I perform using the SAP system. I must first enter all the information into a spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel. The information is checked for accuracy, then it is saved and uploaded into the non-recurring cost application function in SAP. Once completed, I then submit it for approval. I have attached a sample, but again unfortunately I am unable to show all the information since each account is confidential.
